Edox watches over the years: always innovative

Christian Ruefli-Flury founded the Edox brand in 1884. He was a watchmaker by trade and made a beautiful pocket watch for his wife's 25th birthday. She was so impressed that she convinced him to start his own watch company.

In 1961, Edox introduced a watch that is still produced today: The Delfin. An extra shock resistant and 500 meter waterproof watch thanks to extra protective gaskets. These specifications were a novelty in those days and made the brand world famous.

In the 1990s, Edox set a world record for the thinnest watch with a date window. The movement of the 'Les Bémonts Ultra Slim' had a thickness of only 1.4 mm! A record that still stands today.

And in the twenty-first century, the Les Genevez, Switzerland based company is still committed to producing modern quality watches by Swiss watchmakers respecting the tradition and know-how of their predecessors.
